The Pilates Method was invented and developed in the 20th century by a man named Joseph Pilates. The Pilates Method is the ultimate mind-body exercise for those that want to tone, streamline and realign their bodies, without the bulked-up results of more conventional workout methods. 

The Pilates Method focuses on creating a strong ‘centre’ by strengthening the abdominal muscles (stabilisers) and aligning the thoracic and shoulder girdles. This enhances posture and ‘body awareness’ whilst being an all over body conditioning program. 

Menezes Method Pilates is an advanced teaching tool as each exercise is analysed from a biomechanical point of view and adapted to the individual client for their functional requirements. The Menezes Pilates Core™ incorporates: stable spine, specific sequencing for increased lung capacity, safety scales, continual feedback assessment for clients, the exercise formula for superior teaching.
